Make your check payable to Common Sense and mail to: Common Sense, Attn: Development Dept., 699 8th St., Suite C150, San Francisco, CA 94103. In the check memo and/or accompanying letter, please indicate that your gift is for the Common Sense Media GrandAlliance.

Q: How do I make a donation using my Donor Advised Fund (DAF)?

Direct payments to Common Sense and note Tax ID: 41-2024986. Indicate that the gift will support the Common Sense Media GrandAlliance. Please note that no benefits, goods, and/or services can be exchanged for DAF payments. As such, there are limitations around paying for event tickets, tables, or sponsorships through a DAF. Please consult your fund administrator with any questions.

Q: Are there other ways to donate?

To make a donation by ACH Payment/Wire Transfer or Stock/Securities Payment, please email clee@commonsense.org for instructions.

Q: Can I give from my IRA through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)?

Yes. If you're 70½ or older, you can transfer up to a limited amount directly from your IRA to Common Sense Media without it counting as taxable income. Contact your IRA custodian to arrange the transfer, and check with your tax advisor on how it applies to you.

Q: Is this donation tax deductible?

Common Sense is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record.
